Penelitian kualitatif adalah jenis penelitian yang temuan-temuannya tidak diperoleh melalui prosedur statistik dan bentuk hitungan lainnya (Strauss dan Corbin, 1990). Berbeda dengan penelitian kuantitatif, pengumpulan data dalam riset kualitatif sering berbentuk wawancara mendalam (in depth interview).
